Shrine of the Little Flower Holy Name News - May 2009

Please remember in your prayers Past President Carl Yannuzzi of the Archdiocesan Holy
Name Union on his resent passing.

Carl served as Past President of the Baltimore Archdiocesan Holy Name Union for
several years. He also served as Chairman of the High School Scholarship Program.
Carl did so much good work it would be difficult to mention all. We all will miss him
greatly. Please keep in and his family in your prayers.

The 98^th Annual Archdiocesan Holy Name Convention this years Honoree will be
Joseph O’Connor – Past Archdiocesan Holy Name Marshal

The Theme for this years Convention is" Sharing Our Faith with the Next Generation"
Father Gerry C. Francik who is the Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of
Baltimore will be speaking on the Theme of our Convention.

Our Holy Name Society here at the Shrine of the Little Flower has been aiding our
Shrine of the Little Flower Church with donations that our members have sent in. We
thank them for their support during these financially difficult times.

Our membership may be small in numbers but our Society is very big and alive as a
result of these members. We might not have Breakfast or Bull and Oyster Roast, or
gatherings of that nature because we do not have the man power we had many years ago,
but what we do have is members who are dedicated to our Holy Name Society to aid
our Church and all of their Prayers for our Society and Church. We really as a Society of
men dedicated to the Most Holy Name need no more than that.

Our Society would also like to thank one of our members - Richard and his lovely
wife Cathy for setting up and keeping our Shrine of the Little Flower Web Page.
Its very difficult work and a thankless position that many take for granted, but they do it
out of love for the Church. Our Societies prayers are with them as well as our thanks for
all they do.
